Hey guy, I've been wanting to upload pictures on my phone to my pc for so long, but everytime I attach the USB from the phone to my pc, it says the software can't be found. It tells me to insert a disc and get the software, however, when I got the phone, it didn't come with a software disc.
So I was wondering if there is any other way I can upload to my PC without the software or disc or if i can download the software from the internet. Stephie0 Jan 3, , AM. Note: I have the phone, and a transflash card 1. Should I opt to buy the music kit from Verizon, am I right in assuming that I will then be able to transfer my music files one way or another onto my phone to use as ringtones? I have no use for my phone being a standalone mp3 player or something, I just want to have ringtones!
In the above case, will it be the whole song, or would I be forced to have 30 second clips? Alternitively, if I pot to just buy a cable and download the drivers, what is the answer to those questions as well? What phone would you have you considered upgrading to and why? I am running mac os x, with itunes, as opposed to windows media According to Verizon Tech Support, the software requires WMP 10 to run, and apparently you cannot just save mp3's to the memory card and play them, like you can on other multi-media phones.
Is there any kind work-around out there? I bought the software, cable and transflash card. I did sync music in Media Player. The cell phone also told me that sync successfully completed. But when I went to "My Music" and I found nothing in there. Cound someone tell me what was wrong? I put 2 ringtones from my computer to my memory stick then moved them from external memory to internal memory. When I take a pic, then store to memory card, the files do not show that they exist on the memory card.
While the card is in the phone, I try to look up stored images that I saved on the card, however they are not there. Also, we're disappointed that you can't save downloaded music files as ring tones. Using the included USB cable, you can sync the phone with your tunes using Windows Media Player 10 on your PC sorry, Mac users , but with one important caveat: Any MP3s in your collection will need to be converted into WMA files--and lose audio quality in the process--before they're transferred to your phone.
Verizon has taken a lot of heat for this limitation and rightfully so; however, we should point out that this restriction applies to all Verizon V Cast phones and not the SCH-A in particular. It also has a pair of more advanced settings we don't typically see in a camera phone: ISO speed, ranging from auto to , , and , and metering Average, Center, and Spot.
The camera doubles as a camcorder, which will shoot all the video that fits in your available memory no or second caps on the length of clips and includes a self-timer again, for 5- and second settings , as well as white-balance and color tweaks. In our test shots, the camera's still quality was impressive, with rich color, decent detail, and little in the way of video noise, although our images couldn't compete with the snapshots we've seen from 2-megapixel camera phones.
Meanwhile, our videos looked predictably murky and jittery, which is par for the course. When finished with your shots, you can remove them from your phone with the TransFlash card or send them in a multimedia message. You can switch out the wallpaper on the internal and external displays with one of nine preloaded pictures or photos from the camera; pair contacts with pictures and ring tones; tweak display and keypad backlighting settings; and choose from six display themes, including default, business, tropical, blue, green, and red.
On the downside, you can't set ringer profiles such as Outdoors or Meeting , and you get a measly six ring tones, five of which are polyphonic. We were hoping for more from a music-themed phone, so you'll have to shell out cash if you want any more and download them via the WAP 2 wireless Web browser.
And as with most Verizon phones, there's support for BREW 2, but no games are included with the phone. We noticed some network slowdowns as the phone attempted to connect to the V Cast Music servers and while acquiring DRM licenses; once the actual downloads began, though, they were swift.
Our videos streamed cleanly and rarely, if ever, paused for buffering; however, we experienced some occasional but distracting lip-sync problems.
